The gist of the story is while Bigfoot is believed to be a giant, mysterious, ill-tempered, smelly, destructive and hairy mountain beast that lives in seclusion in the forests of Northern California and the greater Pacific Northwest…I have a big “Yea but” to add to the conversation.
How can such a creature exist but never seems to be found?
And there’s the rub.
So, I decided to do a bit of critical exploration and this publication is the result.
I’ve always enjoy stories of UFO hunters and super hero characters and am a total fan of Ancient Alien Astronaut theory. I’m as much of a sucker for a good story, just like everybody else, after all, who am I to ruin a good fantasy?
However, being a fan of fantasy and tall tales does not necessarily mean I believe in such entities or events. The numerous, historic legends of Bigfoot, Sasquatch, Yeti and so on, all have one in common…no proof, only speculation and mystery. It certainly would be interesting and fascinating if someone were to discover a real, live mountain creature in the shape of an ape-man, and provide proof in the form of tangible evidense, such as bones, fur, blood, clear photographs and videos, but so far these forms of proof are illusive.
It’s both educational and fun, this exercize in critical thinking. Educators will find it handy.
Critical Bigfoot Theory serves as a framework for sharpening critical thinking skills. It equips individuals with the tools to ask probing questions when faced with extraordinary claims, fostering a mindset of reasoned inquiry.
The aim isn’t to prove or disprove Bigfoot’s existence but to teach the essential skills of critical reasoning—skills that can be applied to evaluating the plausibility of any remarkable claim, including whether such a creature could roam the Earth.
At the heart of my theory is a concept I call “PlinkoBrain.” Inspired by the random, tumbling paths of Plinko on The Price Is Right, it illustrates how ideas and assumptions bounce unpredictably through our minds, shaping our beliefs, thoughts, and actions in subtle, often unnoticed ways.
